ASHLAND, OH: February has come around and with it, the Track and Field teams are looking to get ready for the conference meet that will readily come at the end of this month. The team hit some amazing marks this past weekend and look forward to more opportunities to continue the momentum. On the Women's side, Kya Epps, Claire Rethman, and Toni Denmark are just some of the standout athletes. On the Men's side, Micah Gremling, Drew Monahan, and Justin Nienaber all finish with much improvement and podium finishes.

On February 9th, the Track and Field teams will compete at the Grand Valley State Big Meet in Allendale, Michigan. 

FOR THE CAVS AT ASHLAND:

· Kya Epps- Finished 2nd in the 60m and 3rd in the 200m. Her times were 7.63s and 24.52s which are both Provisional marks.

· Julie White- PR'd and finished 2nd in the 400m. Her time was 59.78

· Claire Rethman- PR'd and finished 3rd in the Mile. Her time was 4:56.61, which is a Provisional mark.

· Claire Martin- PR'd and finished 3rd in the Long Jump and 4th in the Triple Jump. Her distances were 5.62m or 18'5.25" and 11.24m or 36'10.5"

· Toni Denmark- Finished 2nd in the Pentathalon. Her score was 3062 points.

· The Women's Distance Medley comprised of Libby Howard, Julie White, Laura Rodgers, and Claire Rethman finished 4th with a time of 12:15.40.

· Micah Gremling- Tied his PR and finished 2nd in the 60m. His time was 6.72s, which is a Provisional mark and puts him 9th in the nation!

· Drew Monahan- PR'd and finished 5th in the 3000m. His time was 8:28.32.

· Cameron Beverly- Finished 2nd in the High Jump. His height was 2.05m or 6' 8.75", which is a Provisional mark.

· Justin Nienaber- PR'd and finished 2nd in the Heptathlon. His score was 4328 points.

· O'Rhen Martin- PR'd and finished 3rd in the Heptathlon. His score was 4304 points.

· The Men's Distance Medley finished 5th with a time of 10:01.79, which is a Provisional mark and puts them 12th in the nation!
