NORTH CANTON, OH: The G-MAC contest between Walsh and Hillsdale went down to the final play in Alumni Arena Thursday night. Down by eight, with 3:46 left to play in the fourth quarter, the Cavs made a furious comeback, thanks to key buckets from
Kiley Dyrlund,
Lauren Galaska,
Lydia Reimbold, and
Emma Dretke. Freshman point guard,
Sami Kim, tied the game up at 49 with 16 seconds remaining. After a Charger timeout, Hillsdale ran a play for a back door layup and converted a layup right as the buzzer sounded. Hillsdale picked up their 8th conference win, 51-49.
The Women will return to Alumni Arena on Saturday as they face the Timberwolves from Northwood University. Tip off is set for 1pm and will be a pink out for breast cancer awareness.
