TIFFIN,OH: The first win of the season was a sweet one as first year Head Coach, David Salter, earned his first win at Walsh. The Cavs were due for victory as their first five games were against nationally ranked opponents. A nine goal first quarter and a five goal fourth quarter book ended a stong offensive and defensive performance for the Maroon and Gold. Walsh tallied 44 ground balls and won 26 face offs in the win along with a perfect 16-16 in clears. The offense was led by Colby Bowman who scored seven points on the day after earning Walsh Athlete of the Week honors for his strong performances in tough losses last week. 

The Men will look to keep their winning ways rolling as they host Wheeling University on Saturday at home. The game start is set for 1pm.

FOR THE CAVS 

• Colby Bowman connected on four goals from nine shots and added three assists. 
• Adam Tinline completed the hat trick with three goals and two assists. 
• Joseph Rush scooped up 19 ground balls including winning 26 out of 30 face offs.
• John Kortowich also scored three goals for Walsh.
