NORTH CANTON, OH: Coming off a close loss can be a turning point in a season, for better or for worse. The Walsh Women's Lacrosse team chose the "for better" option as they dominated the Storm from Lake Erie College, winning 18-4. In a cold, blustery March afternoon, the Cavs came out hot, scoring 12 first half goals, 6 in the first two quarters each. Seven Cavs had 2+ goals including a four goal performance by
Katie Coomes. The offensive efforts translated to the defensive side as the Cavs outpaced the Storm,17-3 on ground balls.
The Maroon and Gold will return to Larry Staudt Field on Friday night for a non-conference contest against Northern Michigan. The game will start at 5pm.
