PAINESVILLE, OH: The Cavaliers continued conference play on Tuesday night at Lake Erie College in cold and windy weather. The game was back and fourth for all sixty minutes. Down two early, the Cavs responded right away, early in the first, taking a 3-2 lead. Riding the waves of the entire contest, the G-MAC rivals traded goals totaling five lead changes. It all came down to the final quarter as Lake Erie kept the edge, outscoring Walsh 3-2. The Storm took the 10-9 lead with 6:55 to play but the Maroon and Gold couldn't find the back of the net coming down the stretch. Strong defense by the Storm led them to the win as Walsh failed to connect on their final six shot attempts.
The Cavs will return to Larry Staudt Field on Saturday at 1pm. They will face the Mercyhurst University Lakers!
