NORTH CANTON, OH: The Cavaliers took on the Northwood Timberwolves this past weekend in a battle of top teams in the conference. In Game 1, Northwood strung together 3 strong innings offensively. The deficit was too much for the Cavs to come back as they fell, 10-1. Game 2 started out bleak with Northwood taking a commanding 8 run lead going into the bottom of the third. However, the Cavaliers offense sparked and scored 8 of their own to tie up the game. Cam Hollobaugh hit 2 home runs in the 3rd inning. After 7 innings, both teams were tied and the game went to extras. Northwood was able to scrape a run across in the top of the 8th but once again, Cam Hollobaugh came through for the Cavaliers with a walk off single scoring the game winning run. Games 3 and 4 were both controlled by the Timberwolves as Walsh unable to get any offense going.
The Cavs play again in two midweek games at home against Wheeling University on Tuesday April 16th and against Notre Dame College on Wednesday the 17th.
