CAVS PICK UP WINS AGAINST WHEELING AND NDC

NORTH CANTON, OH: The Cavs played back-to-back home games on Tuesday and Wednesday. First against Wheeling University and then against Notre Dame College.

Pitching was sharp in the game against Wheeling. Walsh had 4 pitchers make appearances during the game and not one of them gave up a run. A 6-run 5th inning, which was kickstarted by a couple of walks, allowed the Maroon and Gold to take a commanding lead. Ultimately, Walsh would go on to win by a final of 8-0.

Wednesday's game against Notre Dame was tight into the later part of the game. Cam Hollobaugh hit a 2-run homer in the 3rd to give Walsh their first lead of the game and then Grant Blomeke hit a solo homerun in the 8th to give them the cushion that they needed. Zach Thompson closed it out in the 9th to pick up his 3rd save of the year and give the Cavs an 8-5 victory.

Walsh will travel to Findlay on Saturday to start a four game series against the Oilers. The first pitch on Saturday is set for 1PM.
