MEN BOUNCE BACK AGAINST KWC

NORTH CANTON, OH - The Walsh University Cavaliers bounced back with a convincing 82-64 victory over the Kentucky Wesleyan Panthers in a Great Midwest Athletic Conference matchup at Alumni Arena on January 11th. This win improved Walsh's record to 6-7 overall and 2-5 in conference play, while Kentucky Wesleyan fell to 10-4 overall and 4-2 in the G-MAC.

The Cavaliers dominated from the start, taking a commanding 47-31 lead into halftime. They maintained their momentum in the second half, outscoring the Panthers 35-33 to secure the 18-point victory.

Ayden Carter led the charge for Walsh with a game-high 21 points, shooting 8-of-22 from the field and 4-of-7 from beyond the arc. Quintero Barnett provided a significant spark off the bench, contributing 20 points on an efficient 7-of-11 shooting.

The Cavaliers' success was fueled by their hot shooting, particularly from three-point range. They connected on 12 of 26 attempts from deep, good for a 46.2% success rate. Walsh also dominated the boards, outrebounding Kentucky Wesleyan 35-34.

For the Panthers, Quentin Toles led the team with 17 points, while Edward Jones Jr. added 13 points and 5 rebounds.

This victory marked a significant turnaround for Walsh, who had previously lost to Kentucky Wesleyan 66-61 on January 4th in Owensboro. The Cavaliers will look to continue their momentum when they travel to Hillsdale College on Thursday, January 16th at 7:30 P.M. for a Great Midwest Athletic Conference matchup.
