CRESTVIEW HILLS, KY: The Cavs took the pitch in Crestview Hills, Kentucky against the Thomas More Saints in a close G-MAC match. The Saints struck first, taking an early lead in the 6th minute. The Cavs would then be two goals behind as the Saints struck again in the 18th minute. However, the Maroon and Gold did not go down without a fight. The Cavs had 4 shots and 6 corners in the second half, but could not seem to find the net. This was until Gabe Anderson capitalized on an assist from Alvaro Gidron late in the 85th minute. However, this was not enough, as the Cavs came up just short, losing 2-1.
The Maroon and Gold will hope to get back to winning ways when they return home to Larry Staudt Field for Senior Day on Saturday, October 18th, at 3:30 P.M. against the Kentucky Wesleyan College Panthers.
