NORTH CANTON, OH: The Cavs welcomed the Kentucky Wesleyan College Panthers for their Senior Day where they honored seven seniors prior to kickoff. In the first half of play, the Cavs out shot the Panthers 5-3, but neither team could find the net, with a half time score of 0-0. However, the Panthers broke the stalemate early in the second half, taking the lead in the 49th minute. The Cavs were not going down without a fight. Stefan Velickovic scored the equalizer in the 84th minute on an assist from Evan Napier. Time unfortunately was still on the clock and with just 44 seconds left to play, the Panthers found the back of the net, stealing all 3 points in the match. Despite the Cavs out shooting the Panthers 11-7, they could not hit the frame of the goal, with only 3 shots on goal to the Panthers 6.
The Cavs take the pitch again on Thursday, October 23rd, at 6:30 P.M. when they travel to take on the Ashland University Eagles.
