KENOSHA, WI: Saturday, November 8th, was the NCAA Cross Country Midwest Regional. Big implications were on the line for both Cavalier Cross Country programs as berths to the DII National Championships were on the line. 

Both teams had strong races running against some of the nations best. In the end, the Men and Women finished in 5th place overall. National power, GVSU, won both races. 

Headlining the success was Claire Rethman with her 5th place individual finish. Her 6K time was 20:50.7. For the Men, G-MAC Freshman of the Year, David D'Altorio finished 18th with a 10K time of 31:21.3. Theo Papas also ran a strong race for the Cavs finishing 22nd. 

Monday is decision day as the NCAA will announce the National Championship qualifiers. 

This years National Championship is in Kenosha on November 22nd.
