PEPPER PIKE, OH: The Walsh Cavalier Women's Basketball team earned their 8th win of the season, tying the best start through 10 games, since 2021. This win, against G-MAC opponent Ursuline, was Walsh's fourth conference win, giving them a 4-0 start in Great Midwest play. Walsh, Malone, and Northwood sit atop the conference, all with 4-0 starts.
Saturday's victory, was sealed with another big fourth quarter from the Cavs. Despite leading the entire contest, the Maroon and Gold convincingly wrapped it up, outscoring the Arrows 24-13 down the stretch. 42 total points in the paint and 28 points off turnovers was key for Walsh as they outpaced Ursuline in both categories.
The Women will now travel to Northern Michigan for two non-conference match ups before the holiday break. They take on Lake Superior State on Monday, followed up with Saginaw Valley State on Wednesday.
