SAULT STE. MARIE, MI: Walsh's five game winning streak was snapped on Monday afternoon in a non-conference contest at Lake Superior State University. Having not lost a game since November 22nd, the Cavs looked to continue their winning ways in their final trip of the 2025 calendar year. GLIAC member, Lake Superior State had different plans when they welcomed the Maroon and Gold.

After halftime is when Walsh started to chip away clawing back to just four down. The defensive intensity kicked up as LSSU totaled 28 turnovers to the Cavs 10. The Maroon and Gold were able to turn the steals into points scoring 29 total points of turnovers in the game. With a minute to play, the Cavaliers were within two points but could not connect on anything to earn a lead or tie the game.
