NORTH CANTON, OH: The undefeated Walsh Men's Basketball program welcomed Ohio Dominican to Alumni Arena on Saturday afternoon. In a quick paced game, the Panthers cooled off the Cavs as they downed the Maroon and Gold, 83-64. Previously, Walsh had scored over 90 points in 5 of their first 6 games.
The Cavaliers started the contest rather strong building a lead of as much as 12 points through the first 10 minutes of play. That lead slowly disappeared as the Panthers clawed back into the contest to end the first half of play. ODU took a two point lead into the halftime break, 36-34.
Out of the 2nd half, it was all Black and Yellow as they outplayed Walsh, scoring 47 points to the Cavs 30. The Panthers could not be denied as they made 8 three pointers and shot 62% from the field. Walsh, on the other hand could not find anything as they were 2 for 10 from three and shot 38% from the floor. The Cavs were 4 for 19 overall from behind the arc in the loss.
The Men will look to bounce back on Thursday night as they host the Oilers of the University of Findlay at 7pm.
