COLUMBUS, OH: The Walsh Women's Basketball team faced Ohio Dominican on Saturday, February 15, 2025, looking to bounce back from their tough loss against Malone earlier in the week. However, the Cavaliers struggled to find their footing, falling to the Panthers 91-77 at Alumni Hall.
The game started slowly for Walsh, as they found themselves trailing 25-12 after the first quarter. Despite a strong second quarter where they outscored Ohio Dominican 23-17, the Cavaliers couldn't overcome the early deficit.
Sami Kim led the charge for Walsh, scoring a team-high 19 points on efficient 6-of-9 shooting, including 2-of-5 from beyond the arc. Izzy Callaway contributed 15 points, while Mallory Oddo added 12 points and a team-leading 6 assists.
Ohio Dominican's offense proved too much for the Cavaliers, with Sarah Ochs and Gabby Stare combining for 51 points. Ochs led all scorers with 26 points, while Stare added 25.
The loss drops Walsh to 8-16 overall and 3-13 in G-MAC play, while Ohio Dominican improves to 11-13 overall and 6-10 in conference action.
