CEDARVILLE, OH - The Walsh University Cavaliers celebrated a hard-fought victory against the Cedarville Yellow Jackets, triumphing 80-79 in a thrilling Great Midwest Athletic Conference (G-MAC) matchup at the Callan Athletic Center. This win improved Walsh's record to 9-14 overall and 5-12 in G-MAC play.
From the opening tip, the Cavaliers demonstrated their determination. They took a 37-31 lead into halftime, shooting 58% from beyond the arc. The second half saw Cedarville mount a fierce comeback, outscoring Walsh 48-43, but the Cavaliers held on to secure the victory.
Kobe Mitchell was the standout performer for Walsh, leading all scorers with an impressive 25 points on 7-of-11 shooting, including a remarkable 6-of-9 from three-point range. His ability to hit clutch shots kept the momentum in Walsh's favor. Matthew Biddell also made significant contributions with 18 points and four assists, while Quintero Barnett added 16 points off the bench, providing crucial scoring when it was needed most.
