WHEELING, WV: In a closely contested G-MAC lacrosse showdown, the Walsh University Cavaliers fell to the Wheeling Cardinals with a final score of 10-8 at Bishop Schmitt Field. Despite a valiant effort, the Cavaliers couldn't secure the victory, moving their season record to 3-4 overall and 2-1 in conference play.
The Cavaliers saw strong performances from several Cavs.
James Sternberg,
Toby Olynyk,
Hudson Dennill, and
John Kortowich were notable for their scoring efforts. Sternberg and Dennill, along with
Joseph Rush and
Garrett Kessling, also contributed on the offensive end! In the net,
Alex Movshin kept Walsh in the game, with 19 saves.
Looking ahead, the Cavaliers aim to bounce back in their upcoming game against Lake Erie on March 18th, at Larry Staudt Field.
