NORTH CANTON, OH: On Tuesday night, the Walsh University Cavaliers Men's Lacrosse team clinched a significant win against the Lake Erie Storm! The final score read Walsh 15 - Lake Erie 4, marking the team's first victory over Lake Erie since 2021. Coming in, the Maroon and Gold were 1-8 against the Storm.
From the initial whistle, the Cavaliers dominated the play, racking up an impressive halftime score of 9-0. Their relentless effort continued into the second half, culminating in a comprehensive victory. Key players such as
Garrett Kessling and
James Sternberg, who each scored twice, played pivotal roles. Sternberg also contributed significantly as a playmaker, assisting on three goals, totaling 5 points on the night. Other contributors included
Maguire Smith,
AJ Harrison, and
Holton Marshall, among others, who ensured the Cavaliers' offensive strength was in full display.
