ROCHESTER, NY: The Walsh Men's Lacrosse team earned a hard fought victory on the road on Tuesday. Heading to Roberts Wesleyan, the Cavs previously lost 5 straight to the Red Hawks. This group of Men were determined to break the losing streak and lift them over the .500 mark for the season.
In an even battle after one quarter, Walsh's offense exploded in the 2nd as they erupted for 4 goals, taking a 9-5 lead into the half. The second half saw both teams battling, with RWU not going away easily. Walsh only had a 3 goal lead heading into the 4th. Going up by as much as 5 in the 4th, the Red Hawks still kept themselves in the game. 2 goals in the final 2 minutes got the home team within 1 but Walsh held strong the final 62 seconds to see the victory.
Walsh's next game will be at home on Friday. The first face off is set for 12pm.
