NORTH CANTON, OH: The Walsh University softball team hosted Thomas More University in a G-MAC doubleheader on April 23rd, falling in both games despite competitive efforts.

Game 1: The Cavaliers jumped out to an early 3-1 lead in the first inning, fueled by Madi Russo's RBI double and Jaelyn Peterson's run-scoring single. However, Thomas More responded with a five-run third inning and added two more in the fourth, handing Walsh an 8-3 loss. Chloe Sayre (5-6) took the loss on the mound.

Game 2: Walsh tied the second game at 2-2 in the second inning behind Jocelyn Caffelle's RBI single and Porter Gregory's clutch hit. But Thomas More broke the tie with a three-run seventh inning. Hope Barrett's solo home run in the bottom half wasn't enough as Walsh fell 5-3. Maci Smythe (3-12) took the loss.
