NORTH CANTON, OH: Tuesday afternoon was a roller coaster of emotions for the Cavalier Men's Lacrosse program as the regular season came to a close. In order of events, the Maroon and Gold first faced ranked powerhouse, Seton Hill, in their regular season finale on Larry Staudt Field. The Griffins were in control the entire game. Winning the possession battles, which led to goals, was the main difference as Seton Hill won 34 face offs compared to Walsh's 6. Seton Hill also had 53 total ground balls. The final score read 25-11.
After taking the defeat, the team awaited their fate in the Great Midwest Postseason. Having already clinched, the final seedings were released, with the Cavs earning the 3rd spot out of 6. The 1 seed went to Seton Hill and the 2nd seed was earned by Lake Erie.
In earning the 3rd seed, Walsh will host #6 Northwood in the G-MAC Quarterfinal on Saturday, at Larry Staudt Field, at 1pm. Postseason events are ticketed. Tickets can be pre-purchased here:
