PAINESVILLE, OH: Another accomplishment has a check mark next to it for the 2025 Walsh Men's Lacrosse team. After a 10-8 victory over the Lake Erie Storm, the Cavs will play for a Great Midwest Athletic Conference Championship on Saturday. 

On the heels of accomplishing the best season in school history, Walsh won its first ever semifinal game. Leading the entire time, Walsh never looked back although the #2 Storm knocked on the door. At the 6:19 mark of the 4th quarter, the contest was cut to one goal. James Sternberg connected with his 3rd goal of the game at the 1:34 mark of the 4th, allowing the Cavs to keep the edge. A save by Alex Movshin eventually secured the win for the Maroon and Gold! 

Walsh will face the #1 seeded and 4th team in the region, Seton Hill on Saturday in the G-MAC Championship match up.

• Hudson Dennill and James Sternberg set the pace for the Cavs with 4 points each.
• AJ Harrison, Parker Stanway, and Owen Ranly also connected on at least one goal. 
• Joseph Rush was key in obtaining possession for Walsh, going 16-20 on face offs and scooping 14 ground balls. 
• Winston Lomax had 5 ground balls. 
• Alex Movshin totalled 13 saves in the semifinal win!
