NORTH CANTON, OH: Walsh hosted the Ohio Dominican Panthers for their opening conference game at Larry Staudt Field on Thursday evening. It was a dominating display from the Cavaliers who outshot the Panthers 21 to 11 with 15 shots on target versus ODU's 6. The Cavs opened up the scoring late however, scoring their first goal in the 69th minute through Carli Miller on an assist from Kate Young. Just two minutes later, Paityn Marino added the second goal of the match on an assist from Jamie Duskey. Corinne Casenhiser scored the third and final Cavalier goal with a penalty kick conversion in the 89th minute. Goalkeeper, O'Malley Quinlan, completed her first clean sheet of the season, making six saves.
The Cavs return to Larry Staudt Field on Saturday, September 20th, at 2 P.M. when they welcome the Northwood Timberwolves.
