NORTH CANTON, OH: The Walsh Women's Soccer team welcomed the undefeated Northwood Timberwolves to Larry Staudt Field for their second match in G-MAC play on Saturday. Hoping to build off their previous win against ODU, Walsh opened up scoring in the 33rd minute through Paityn Marino, to take a 1-0 lead going into halftime. Northwood responded with a penalty kick conversion in the 67th minute to equalize against the Cavs, where the scoreline would stand at 1-1 for the rest of the match. This draw is exciting as the Cavs move along in the G-MAC schedule as they were defeated by Northwood 6-2 last season. This was also the first non loss to the Timberwolves since 2017!
The Maroon and Gold will look to keep the momentum going as they return to the pitch Thursday, September 25th, at 1 P.M. in an away match at Tiffin University.
