TIFFIN, OH: The Cavs traveled west on Thursday for a mid day G-MAC contest against the hosting Tiffin Dragons. The first road conference contest proved to be no issue for Walsh as they slayed the Dragons, 2-0. The 2nd G-MAC shut out of the year was thanks to a stifling defense along with strong offensive control. 14 Walsh shots on goal kept the Tiffin keeper busy with two of the shots sneaking past to give the edge to the Cavs.
Paityn Marino continued her scoring streak with 88th minute goal to seal the game. Marino is Walsh's leading scorer with 5 goals and in the second leading scorer in the conference. She is also third in the conference in Shots on Goal at 2.17.
The team will head to Lake Erie College on Saturday for another Great Midwest test. Kickoff is set for 12pm.
