TIFFIN, OH: Walsh Women's Basketball doesn't need easy, they just need possible. Tonight, that mantra was displayed as they clawed to victory, defeating the Tiffin Dragon's, 67-61. This win was crucial for the Maroon and Gold to keep them in contention as the final month of the season is quickly approaching.
After being outscored 21-12 after one quarter, the Women slowly but surely chipped away at the deficit. They won the final three quarters, dominating the fourth quarter, 25-16. A key 4-0 run by the Cavaliers got the score back to event with 7:53 in the game. A few minutes later, the Cavs took the lead thanks to four straight points from
Kiley Dyrlund. Just past the half way point to the final buzzer, Walsh built a six point lead. The Dragon's soon cut it to one but a three and two free throws from
Sydney Ludvigsen sealed the win.
Walsh will have another G-MAC battle on Saturday. They will travel down Market Ave. to face rival, Malone, at 1pm.
