MIDLAND, MI: Walsh Women's Basketball was back in action for the first time since December 17th this afternoon at Northwood University. The contest was a battle as both teams were undefeated in the Great Midwest thus far. In the end of the 40 minutes, the Timberwolves handed the Cavaliers their first conference loss of the year, defeating Walsh 76-62.
Although the final score saw a 14 point deficit, the G-MAC clash was a back and forth battle with a total of nine lead changes. The main difference was the final quarter as Northwood outscored Walsh 26-13, taking the win. The last Cav lead was at the 8 minute mark of the 3rd quarter.
The Maroon and Gold will look to quickly bounce back as they will travel to Michigan again on Monday when they face the Hillsdale Chargers at 5:30pm.
