NORTH CANTON, OH: It was a good Tuesday afternoon for Walsh Men's Lacrosse after a 19-13 win over the Point Park Pioneers. Point Park is an associate member for Men's Lacrosse in the Great Midwest Athletic Conference. The win was key for the Cavs as conference play is underway.
Despite Point Park striking first, the Cavs were quick to respond rattling off three straight goals building a 4-1 lead. It was all Walsh from there as the Men built a lead by as much as 11 goals. The biggest run was five straight goals from Walsh.
The Cavaliers first conference win was also won in all other statistical categories as the Maroon and Gold overwhelmed the visitors with 59 total shots with 34 being on goal. The Cavs also outpaced the Pioneers in face offs won, ground balls, clears, and shots on goal.
The team returns to action on Saturday when they will travel to Tiffin for another G-MAC match up. First face off is set for 12pm!
