NORTH CANTON, OH: Walsh Men's Lacrosse continued their three game home stand on Wednesday evening, hosting the University of Indianapolis on a non-conference match up. The Greyhounds struck first with Walsh returning the goal to knot the game up at the 7:50 point of the first quarter. From there, it was all U Indy as they went on a 4-0 run, opening the game and giving the Cavs an immediate challenge.
As the third quarter started the Walsh Men cut the deficit to 6-3 and then later 8-4. From the 3:16 mark on, the Greyhounds really blew the game open scoring 8 straight goals, quickly earning a 12 goal lead. The visitors then scored 5 straight goals in the final four minutes, putting the finishing touches on the Walsh defeat.
The Men will return to Larry Staudt Field on Saturday, for Senior Day, at 3pm.
