NORTH CANTON, OH:
Toby Olynyk and the Walsh Men's Lacrosse had a big day on Saturday as they defeated Davis and Elkins College, 20-9. Olynyk broke two school records including points in a game and assists in game. The points in a game record was previously set in 2013 at 11 points while the assists in a game was set last season at 7 assists.
The record breaking stat line got underway 56 seconds into the game as Olynyk assisted
Maguire Smith. This goal was the first of 6 total scored in the first. Despite the Senators connecting on one goal in the first period, the Cavs scored 12 straight to build a 15-1 lead.
The Maroon and Gold out paced the visitors on all fronts: 66 shots to their 23, 22 for 25 on clears, 46 ground balls, and 27 of 33 on face offs. 9 different Cavs scored in the victory.
