NORTH CANTON, OH: With big conference playoff implications on the line, Walsh Men's Lacrosse defeated Wheeling University, 15-6, last Saturday. The first half was a battle with only 3 total goals scored in the first quarter. Walsh settled in, connecting on 4 goals in the second to take a 5-4 lead to halftime.
The Cavaliers stepped up in the second half scoring 10 totals goals and holding the Cardinals to 2. A big factor in the scoring efforts was thanks to securing 21 face offs and only allowing Wheeling to 3.
Dylan Castiglia had a big hand in that going 20 for 22 at the dot with 7 ground balls.
The Men will have one more regular season game ahead as they travel to Seton Hill, tomorrow, for a 3:30pm face off.
