ALLENDALE, MI: The regular season was wrapped up on Friday as the Cavaliers played a non-conference game vs Grand Valley State University.
The Lakers, the GLIAC Champs, took to scoring early, blistering the Cavs with 9 goals in the opening quarter.
Despite the 13 goal loss, the team statistics were rather competitive as the Cavaliers were out shot by eight and only had four more turnovers than the Lakers. Walsh had 14 total ground balls to GVSU's 16.
Olivia Price and
Trinity Stowell each had three points for the Maroon and Gold with Stowell having goals and Price having 2 goals and 1 assist.
Lydia Dumas was stong on the defense with 3 ground balls and 3 caused turnovers.

Walsh wraps up the regular season 5-9, 4-4 in the G-MAC. Up next, the Cavs will be in the Great Midwest Conference Tournament. Earning the 5th seed, the first round will be at #4 Malone on Saturday, April 25th. The first draw is set for 2pm.
