NORTH CANTON, OH: The Great Midwest South Division Champions had many Cavs earn All-Conference nods for the 2026 season. Senior, Shortstop,
Brodey Acres headlined the awards winning Great Midwest Player of the Year as well as All-Conference First Team. Brodey has had quite the season rounding out an illustrious career where he was a four year starter and broke many career school records including hits in a career, runs scored in a career, RBI's in a career, doubles in a career, and stolen bases in a career.
This season, Brodey hit .395 with 70 hits, 20 doubles, 3 triples, 10 home runs, and 47 RBI's. He also drew 30 walks and stole 11 bases. At shortstop he had a .974 fielding percentage. The all-around player topped many statistical categories in the conference including:Â

Along with Acres,
Mason Stoldt earned All-Conference First Team leading the G-MAC in Home Runs and RBI's. Earning All-Conference Second Team was
Ryan Chambers,
Chris Kramer, and
Andrew Morse. The 5 Walsh All-Conference selections ties Ashland, Northwood, and Findlay for most selections this season.Â
The last G-MAC Player of the Year from Walsh was Andrew Czech when he won Player of the Year in 2019 and 2021.Â
