CANTON, OH: Cavalier Volleyball returned to Great Midwest play on Saturday evening as they defeated rival, Malone, 3-1. Despite a slow start, losing the first set, it was all Maroon and Gold in sets two, three, and four.
In set one, Walsh looked to have control of the set, commanding a 15-11 lead. Malone's scrappy play brought them back into it and eventually scoring the final three points after a 22-22 score to put the Cavs on their heels.
The Cavs quickly changed the game, starting set two with an 8-2 lead. From there, Walsh swept Malone with set scores of 25-17, 25-15, and 25-19.
Next up, the team will travel to Painesville, OH to take on Lake Erie. They previously defeated the Storm, 3-1, last week.
