Adams Turns Hat-Trick in 4-2 Win

Walsh's Carley Adams (Jr., 5-8, Louisville, OH/HS) turned the "Hat-Trick" for the second straight game in a 4-2 come-from-behind win over visiting Point Park University (4-11) in an American Mideast Conference game today. The win improved the Cavs to 11-3 overall and to 7-2 in the AMC. The Cavs return to action on Saturday when they travel to Houghton College for an AMC match at 2 pm.

Molly Martin (Jr., 5-7, Canfield, OH/HS) opened the scoring with her fifth goal of the season to give Walsh a 1-0 lead at the 28:21 mark. Erin Zaleski (Fr., 5-8, Alliance, OH/HS) assisted on the goal. After a lightning halted play at the 15-minute mark, Point Park scored back-to-back goals within two minutes and took a 2-1 lead into halftime.

Adams scored the tying goal, at top left corner, at the 56:17 mark. She then tallied the go ahead goal on an assist from Lauren Jokovich (So., Canton, OH/Jackson) at the 75:48 mark on a perfect pass up the middle. Adams then scored a insurance goal on a pass from Jokovich from right to center at 86:03.

Adams now leads the team with ten goals and 21 points. Jokovich leads the Cavs with seven assists and is second with 15 points.

Walsh clearly dominated play in the final 45 minutes, as they held Point Park without a shot.
