Cavs Improve to 2-0

(ELKINS, W.Va.) - Walsh led from start to finish to improve to 2-0 on the season after defeating Alderson-Broaddus University (0-2) 73-58 in the second and final game of the GLIAC/GMAC Challenge at Davis & Elkins. The Cavs will look for their third straight win at Gannon University on Wednesday night at 7 pm. The game will be broadcast live on TEAMLINE.

The Cavs scored the games' first 12 points and never looked back.  Walsh led 39-20 when the Battlers scored the final six points of the half.

Walsh was never in danger in the second half, with the lead falling into single digits just once at 49-40 with 10:47 to play.

Four players reached double figures for Walsh, led by Jalynn Graham's (5-5, Fr., Columbus, OH/Central Crossing) game high 17 points. Graham was 6-9 from the floor and 5-6 from the line. Graham also recorded a game-high eight rebounds. Kelsey Funderburgh (5-7, So., North Lewisburg, OH/Triad/Morehead State) added 14 points and Audrey Badovick (5-5, Jr., Norwalk, OH/St. Paul) and Sarah Stephenson (6-0, So., New Philadelphia, OH/HS)  each tallied 11. Badovick was 6-6 from the line, and dished out six assists.  Stephenson was 4-6 from the field.

Walsh shot 45% (14-31) from the field and 75% (21-28).
