(UNIVERSITY CENTER, Mich.) - On the strenght of a five-run second inning, Saginaw Valley (11-20, 8-13) downed the Cavs (18-22, 10-12) 7-2 to win the rubber game of the three-game GLIAC series. The Cavs remain in 8th place, but are just two games out of fourth place in the conference race. Walsh is at Ohio Dominican University on Tuesday for a GLIAC double header at 2 p.m.

The Cardinals put five runs on the board against Walsh starter, and loser, Ian Drapcho (Sr., Dover, OH/HS) in the second inning. SVSU rapped out six singles in the inning.

Walsh scored their runs in the fifth inning. Jordan Shank (Jr., Canton, OH/GlenOak) collected an RBI single. The Cavs had just three hits on the day. Johnny Knight (Fr., Jefferson, OH/Area) had a fifth inning double, and Brook Clark  (So., Canton, OH/McKinley) had a single and two walks.
