Box Score (FINDLAY, Ohio) – Walsh ousted Findlay in a double-overtime thriller by a score of 76-75 to move into a second-place tie in the South Division at Croy Gymnasium Thursday evening. It was the first multiple-overtime game for the Cavaliers (12-6, 9-4) since a four-overtime marathon against Hillsdale during the 2013-14 season.
After both teams missed shots to start the second overtime, Brooklyn Wooten put the Cavaliers ahead with a layup on the assist from Allison Butler. Walsh held the lead for the rest of the way.
Wooten continued to be clutch down the stretch as she scored six-straight points for the Cavs that started with the go-ahead basket. She followed with a 3-point play after a foul on a made jumper and sank a free through after a pair of Oilers fouls shots to five Walsh a 73-69 advantage.
An Oilers 3-pointer brought the hosts within one, but Walsh made 3-of-4 free throws in the final minute to stave off Findlay.
Wooten also added the final Walsh points in regulation with a go-ahead layup with 2:21 left and a free throw with 50 seconds remaining on the clock to put the Cavs up two. Findlay's Anna Hintz tied the game up with a pair of free throws with 30 seconds left.
Findlay led by three in the final minute of the first overtime period, but Kelsey Funderburgh came up with a huge 3-pointer to tie the game with 35 seconds left. She finished with a team-high 16 points with four treys. Elsewhere on the floor she added four rebounds, four steals, and two blocks.

Holly Grober played well with seven points, seven rebounds, and tied a season-high with four blocks. Brittni Clopton and Graham both added seven boards for the Cavaliers.
The Oilers (11-8, 6-7) were looking to improve their standing in the divisional standings and led at one point by 11 points early in the second half. However the Cavaliers' defense stepped up and forced Findlay to go a stretch of 8:41 in the third quarter without a made field goal. During that time, Findlay had seven turnovers as Walsh went on a 16-2 run to take a 50-47 lead into the final quarter.
The Cavaliers return to action on Saturday for Wall of Fame Weekend. Walsh will welcome Wayne State for the matchup with a 1 p.m. tip-off.
