Box Score (NORTH CANTON, Ohio) – For the third game in a row, Walsh shut out its opponent as Dani Shambaugh made five saves on the day. However the Cavaliers were shutout as well as they recorded a 0-0 draw with Michigan Tech Sunday afternoon.
It was the third draw for the Cavaliers (7-4-3, 3-3-2) and just the second for the Huskies (9-2-2, 5-1-2).
Both teams had opportunities to score with Michigan Tech holding the edge on shots 18-10 and corner kicks 9-2.
Walsh put the pressure on early with four shots in the first 16 minutes, but only one was on goal. The Cavs had two shots in the extra time, but a Corynne Swift strike was saved in the first and an Olivia Peters header went wide in the second.
The Cavaliers will play their next three games on the road starting with Salem International on Tuesday. Kickoff with the Tigers is scheduled for 2 p.m.
