Box Score

(NORTH CANTON, Ohio) – Seven players scored in double figures as Walsh breezed by Penn State-Altoona 107-61 in its final non-conference game of the regular season. The Cavaliers (9-3) had all five starters reach double figures with two, Conor Keck and Trey Fletcher, recording double-doubles in the win over the Lions (4-6).

Keck amazed many in his first home game back with the Cavaliers as he pulled down 16 rebounds, 10 in the first half, to go with 11 points on 5-of-8 from the field. Fletcher was also 5-of-8 and 2-of-3 behind the arc for 13 points to go with 10 rebounds.

Together, Keck and Fletcher nearly outrebounded Altoona by themselves as the Lions pulled down 28 caroms. Overall, Walsh dominated the glass with a 53-28 rebounding edge.

Zac Carter was spectacular himself as he led all scorers with 25 points on 11-of-17 on the floor. He added three 3-pointers and dished out five assists. Jameel Moore added 11 and Steven Carpenter scored 10 to round out the starters.

Conner Wess came off the bench to score 12 with six assists. Andy Brunet also came off the bench to score 11 as he was a perfect 5-for-5 from the field.

In addition to the rebounding battle, the Cavs were lethal from outside as they poured in 16 treys on 34 attempts.

This is the second time the Cavs have hit the century mark this season after a 103-78 victory over Glenville State back on November 26. The 46-point victory is also Walsh's largest win since defeating Silver Lake in the third game of the year last season.

The Cavs will return to conference play Thursday when they host Wayne State. Tip-off with the Warriors is set for 7:30 p.m.
