Box Score (NORTH CANTON, Ohio)- The Walsh University Women's Basketball team rolled past the Battlers of Alderson Broaddus 101-44 for their fifteenth straight win of the season. The Cavaliers improved to 20-2 on the season and 13-0 in the G-MAC.
The strong Cavalier offense put on a show as all five starters ended the game in double figures. Mayci Sales got the Cavalier crowd on their feet as she officially became a member of the 1,000 point club with her fourth basket of the game.
Sales was the leading scorer for the Cavs with 18 points. She also added four assists for the day. Quionche Carter added a double-double for the Maroon and Gold. She went 6 of 8 from the field en route to 16 points and 10 rebounds. Tyler Newkirk was perfect from the field as she went 6-for-6 to contribute 15 points and 3 steals. Kimmie Borck was the final Cavalier starter to add double figures to the board with 13 points, including two three pointers. Alyssa Dean contributed solid points off the bench as she added 13 points and 6 assists.
The Cavaliers held the Battlers to only 2 fourth quarter points, which is the lowest Walsh has held a team since changing from halves to quarters in 2016.
The Maroon and Gold will host Ohio Valley on Saturday February 8th at 1:00 PM in Alumni Arena.
