Box Score NORTH CANTON, Ohio - The Walsh Cavaliers men's basketball team stepped away from conference play for a Saturday (Dec. 4) evening matchup with the Roberts Wesleyan Redhawks.
Walsh had a great team showing on both offense and defense as the Cavaliers scored a season-high 102 points and held the Redhawks to a season-low 63 points.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Walsh started the game on a 7-0 run before Roberts Wesleyan answered with a 9-4 run the lead was cut to two points seven minutes into the game. After Roberts Wesleyan pulled within two points again at the 11:58 mark, Walsh finished with a 37-18 run over the final 12 minutes of the half. Spanning seven plus minutes, Walsh went on a 21-3, opening a 25-point lead. The game was 50-29 at halftime.
- Walsh used an early 12-0 rally in the second half to expand the lead to nearly 30 points. 12 different players scored points in the second half as Walsh outscored the Redhawks 52-34.
FOR THE CAVALIERS
- Caleb Canter scored a career-high 21 points on ten-of-12 shooting with four rebounds and four assists.
- Owen Hazelbaker added 13 points on five field goals (three threes) with five rebounds.
- Quentin Toles came off the bench with 13 points and four assists. He hit three shots behind the arc.
- Milan Square neared a double-double with ten points and nine points.
- Garrison Keeslar scored six points with five rebounds and six assists.
- Darryl Straughter scored nine points, taking over the fifth spot in the all-time scoring list. He now has 1,774 career points and is only three points from tying the fourth spot.
- 13 players found the scoring column with three players getting their first collegiate points.
FOR THE REDHAWKS
- Rian Carter led the Redhawks with 17 points while Shane Fanning added 14 points.
BEHIND THE NUMBERS
- Walsh finished the game with a season-high 57.1% (40-70) shooting percentage while shooting over 50% from deep. The Cavaliers made 14 three pointers, tying a season-high.
- Roberts Wesleyan had their offense slowed as they shot 32.8% (19-58) from the floor and 30.8% (8-26) from three-point land.
- Walsh totaled a season-best 45 rebounds and 25 assists. The Redhawks only managed 31 rebounds and five assists while making 14 turnovers.
Walsh will return to conference play on Thursday (Dec. 9) at 7:30 PM as they host the Kentucky Wesleyan Panthers at Alumni Arena.
