NORTH CANTON, Ohio - The Walsh Cavaliers men's indoor track and field team opened 2022 with a pair of meets over the weekend in Ohio. Some of the team traveled to Youngstown State on Friday (Jan. 21) for the YSU College Invite while the rest of the team competed in the Chip Wilson Invite at Mount Vernon Nazarene on Friday and Saturday (Jan. 22).
Hunter Moore brought home a 3000 meter title while setting the Walsh and YSU Meet record, running in 8:21.81.
Jacob Ott nailed two provisional marks at Mount Vernon in the shot put and the weight throw. Micah Gremling reached the standard in the 60 meter dash and Gabe Miller hit the standard in the weight throw.
