NORTH CANTON, Ohio - The Walsh Cavaliers men's indoor track & field team completed a double event weekend last weekend with appearances at the Findlay Alumni Classic and the Youngstown State Mid-Major Invitational. 

Findlay Alumni Classic

Walsh finished second of nine teams in the Findlay Alumni Classic. The Cavaliers had 20 top five finishes, including ten finishes on the top three podium. Walsh totaled 134.5 points behind the host Findlay. Four different student-athletes tallied NCAA D2 Provo marks. 

1^st Place Finishes

• Micah Gremling – 200 meters: 22.81 seconds
• Dominic Nutter – Weight Throw Open: 17.12 meters
• Braden Brock – Shot Put Open: 14.60 meters

2^nd Place Finishes

• Micah Gremling – 60 Meters: 6.86 seconds – NCAA D2 Provisional Mark
• Corey Harder – 400 meters: 51.46 seconds
• Jacob Ott – Shot Put Elite: 16.84 meters – NCAA D2 Provisional Mark

3^rd Place Finishes

• Michael Contrucci – 400 meters: 51.92 seconds
• 4x400 Relay (Michael Contrucci, Corey Harder, Bryce Ostheimer, Joel Berger): 3:32.69
• Tyrel James – Long Jump: 6.64 meters
• Cameron Beverly – Heptathlon: 4,140 points

4^th Place Finishes

• Caden Richmond – 400 meters: 52.89 seconds
• Joel Berger – 60 Hurdles: 8.54 seconds
• Malik Holt – High Jump: 1.85 meters
• Max McVicker – Heptathlon: 3,958 points
• Jacob Ott – Weight Throw Elite: 18.04 meters – NCAA D2 Provisional Mark

5^th Place Finishes

• Nathaniel Ross – 600 Meters: 1:31.14
• Micah Gremling – Long Jump: 6.60 meters 
• Justin Nienaber – Heptathlon: 2,836 points
• Gabriel Miller – Weight Throw Elite: 17.99 meters – NCAA D2 Provisional Mark
• Jesse Houle – Weight Throw Open: 16.09 meters 

Chandler Wilhelm finished 2^nd in the mile at Youngstown State, clocking in at 4:15.89. Wilhelm joined Xavier Foehl, Seth Macura and Josh Conrad in the 4x400 relay as the quartet was sxith overall. The 4x400 relay ran the race in 3:25.72. Conrad and Foehl finished ninth and 11^th, respectively in the 800 meter run with times of 1:55.94 and 1:57.52. 

Walsh will continue the indoor season at the Jud Logan Light Giver Open at the newly branded Niss Athletic Center at Ashland next weekend.
