NORTH CANTON, Ohio - With student-athletes competing at two meets this weekend, there were a number of opportunities for the Walsh Cavaliers men's track and field team to improve as the Great Midwest Indoor Championships is coming in two weeks. Walsh competed in the Grand Valley State Big Meets on Friday (Feb. 11) and Saturday (Feb. 12) and the Reggie Thomas Classic at Tiffin.
Overall, the Cavaliers hit five NCAA D2 Provisional marks - including four of them from the throws unit at Tiffin. Jacob Ott sits 3rd in Division II while Gabriel Miller is 18th in the country in the Weight Throw after top three finishes in Tiffin. The DMR quartet in Michigan boasted an 11th place finish, reaching a NCAA D2 Provo mark.
