ASHLAND, Ohio - After the Jud Logan Light Giver Open was shortened to one day due to weather, the Walsh Cavaliers men's indoor track & field team went to work Saturday (Feb. 5) at the newly christened Niss Athletic Center. In the one day event, Walsh came home with two new school records, five provisional marks and ten finishes within the top six.
Hunter Moore broke the 3000 meter record with a blistering pace of 8:17.25, the third fastest mark in the conference record books. Jacob Ott followed with a record toss of 17.48 meters in the Shot Put, breaking the four-year plus record. The DMR quartet of Chander Wilhelm, Xavier Foehl, Josh Conrad and Nathan Moore ran the sixth fastest medley relay in the G-MAC ranks.
