NORTH CANTON, OH- The Walsh Cavaliers Women's Lacrosse team recorded their fifth win of the season on Thursday, March 16th, over the Notre Dame College Falcons. The game was tight in the first half. The home team went to the break with a three goal lead. The Falcons would score back-to-back goals at the beginning of the third quarter, getting them within one goal. That would be the last time the Falcons would score. The Cavaliers would extend their lead by nine, from the ten minute mark of the third quarter, on. Walsh would defeat the Notre Dame College Falcons, 17-7. The Cavaliers are now 5-2 on the season.

FOR THE CAVALIERS: 

• Melinda Maers led the Cavaliers in scoring with five goals. Maers also picked up four ground balls on the day.  

• Lindsay Hindman followed as she connected on four goals, also causing four turnovers.

• Katie Coomes connected on three goals.  

• Isabella Kelty had two goals and four assists.  

• Mallory Miller, Grace Santee, and Chloe Tatlow each had one goal a piece.

• Tatlow would lead the Cavaliers with five assists.

• Kathleen Mendenhall made five saves in 35:26 minutes in goal.  

The Cavaliers will face the Wildcats from Northern Michigan on Wednesday March 22nd at 4 P.M.
