INDIANA, PA- The Walsh University Cavaliers Women's Lacrosse team fought through the windy conditions in Pennsylvania, defeating the Crimson Hawks in double overtime. The Cavs had a rough start in the first half, giving up five goals. The Cavaliers fought their way back in the second half and tied the game 5-5, but Sarah Reustle for IUP would bring the Crimson Hawks a go-ahead goal to take the lead 6-5 with 3:22 left in regulation. The Cavaliers responded, with Melinda Maers finding the goal with an assist by Isabella Kelty tying the score 6-6 with 1:08 left in regulation. Regulation would end with both teams tied, sending the Cavaliers to their first overtime of the season. Both defenses held tough in the first overtime, sending the game into a second overtime period. Maers would score the game-winning goal to defeat IUP Crimson Hawks 7-6. The Cavaliers are now 2-2 on the season.

Chloe Tatlow would find a way to the goal off a free position goal after a foul on IUP.

Tatlow would put the Cavaliers back on track scoring her second goal of the day that would tie the game at 5-5 in the fourth quarter.

IUP scored their sixth goal to take the lead with 3:22 remaining in regulation.

Melinda Maers would find her first goal of the day at 1:08 left in regulation to tie the game at 6-6 for the second time of the day after the assist by Isabella Kelty that would send the Cavaliers into overtime.

Lindsey Hindman snagged three ground balls on the day, totaling 16 ground balls for the Cavaliers.
