AKRON, OH: Last Friday, the Cavaliers of Track and Field competed at the University of Akron Open, their final meet of the 2025 calendar year. Walsh, Slippery Rock, and Roberts Wesleyan represented Division II schools while Akron and Buffalo represented DI programs. 

Colton Ferrucci had another strong weekend as he hit another NCAA provisional mark in the men's weight throw. His throw was 19.13m. 

The Cavaliers will return to the Track, after the holiday's, on January 16th. 

TOP PERFORMANCES FOR THE CAVS 

• Colton Ferrucci won the weight throw, with a mark of 19.13m. 
• Garrett Shook placed 3rd in the 60m hurdles with a time of 8.37s.
• Tatum Miller hit another NCAA provo mark with her 3rd place finish in the weight throw. Her throw went 18.31m. 
• Also finishing with bronze finishes was Isis Hall (60m), Lara Hochdoeffer (60m hurdles), and Chiara Da Pra (high jump).
