COLUMBUS, OH: An individual victory and strong team play was how the Cavalier Women's Golf team opened up their 2025 season. Competing at Champions Golf Club in the ODU Champions of Women's Golf, the Maroon and Gold took advantage of the sunny weather and great fall golf conditions to shoot consistent team rounds of 313 and 315. Seniors Sydney Hugo and Sophia Rosa led the Cavs with 1st place and 3rd place finishes including both shooting +3, 73's on day two. 

Consistent conference leaders, Tiffin and Ashland finished 1st and 2nd, respectively. 

The Women will be back on the course on September 27th and 28th in Big Rapids, Michigan!

FOR THE CAVS 

• Sydney Hugo earned medalist honors, going +6 in 36 holes. She shot 73 both days
• Sophia Rosa finished 3rd individually and moved up 9 spots on day two. Her rounds consisted of 77 and 73
